We take pride in our food at Pengelly Farmhouse B&B, we source many of our ingredients fresh locally.  We ask our guests to let us know of any allergies or intolerances so that we can assist with requirements.

The following is a list of the ingredients within our standard breakfast menu and room offerings.

 

Porridge  Wholegrain Rolled Oats, Pasteurised, homogenised semi skimmed cows milk.

Fresh Yoghurt  Cows’ Milk.

Homemade Pengelly Bircher Muesli  Scottish whole rolled porridge oats, cows milk, lemon juice from concentrate (preservative Potassium Metabisulphite), Apple juice from concentrate (citric acid), Greek Yoghurt (cows milk), honey, grated apple, ground cinnamon.

Breakfast Cereals – see packet.

Fruit Juice, Apple juice from concentrate (citric acid), orange juice from concentrate.

The Full Cornish, Pork chipolata sausage (pork, rusk (prepared from wheat flour), water, salt, raising agent (E503), stabilizer (E4511), spices, yeast extract, sunflower oil, flavourings, preservative (E2221), antioxidant (E300), colour (E128)). Drycure or sweet cure back bacon, (pork, sugar, salt, preservatives (E250)(E252),acidity regulator (E500) antioxidant (E301)).  Hogs Pudding (pork, beef, rusk, water, salt, season).  Free range hens eggs.  Sunflower oil.  Mushrooms, butter (cream, cows milk, milk fat), sea salt, heat treated black pepper corns, thyme).  Baked beans (haricot beans, tomatoes, water, sugar, modified maize starch, salt, onion powder, paprika extract, paprika powder, flavouring, onion oil, garlic extract).  Toast (Sunflower and pumpkin soft farmhouse loaf (fortified British wheat flour, calcium carbonate, iron, niacin, thiamin, water, wholemeal British wheat flour, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, wheat gluten, wheat fibre, yeast, wheat bran, fermented wheat flour, rapeseed oil, salt, oat flakes, soya flour, spirit vinegar, palm oil, flour treatment agent, ascorbic acid – also not suitable for guests with an allergy to rye or barley due to manufacturing methods) – Borage flower garnish in season.

Fresh Homemade Pancakes and Bacon  Pancakes (Wheat flour (Calcium Carbonate, Iron, Nicotinamide, Thiamin), Raising Agent (Monocalcium Phosphate, Sodium Bicarbonate), Baking Powder (Disodium Diphospate, Sodium Hydrogen Carbonate, Rice Flour), cows milk, Icing Sugar (anti-caking agent, Tricalcium Phosphate), egg, Blueberries, Maple Syrup,  Drycure or sweet cure back bacon, (pork, sugar, salt, preservatives (E250)(E252),acidity regulator (E500) antioxidant (E301)) – Borage Flower garnish in season.

Smoked Scottish Salmon Scrambled Free Range Hens’ Eggs.  Egg, Tabasco sauce (vinegar, red pepper, salt), Salmon (fish), sea salt, demerara sugar, tomato, balsamic vinegar (wine vinegar, concentrated grape must, cooked grape must, colour Sulphite ammonia caramel, antioxidant Sulphur dioxide, Olive oil, English Muffin (fortified British Wheat flour, Calcium Carbonate, Iron, Niacin, Thiamin, water, yeast, Semolina Wheat,  Wheat Gluten, sugar, salt, Soya flour, Spirit Vinegar, Preservative, Potassium Sorbate, Palm Oil, Palm Stearin, Rapeseed Oil, skimmed cows milk powder, flour treatment agent, ascorbic acid) – Nasturtium Flower garnish in season.

Tomato Ketchup, Tomatoes, spirit vinegar, sugar, salt, spice and herb extracts (contain Celery), spice.

HP Sauce,  Tomatoes, malt vinegar (from Barley), molasses, glucose-fructose syrup, spirit vinegar, sugar, dates, modified cornflour, Rye flour, salt, spices, flavourings, Tamarind.

Homemade Pengelly Farmhouse Rosemary Shortbread Biscuits.  Clotted cream (milk),   butter (cream, cows milk, milk fat, white cane sugar, wheat flour (calcium carbonate, iron, nicotinamide, thiamin, rosemary).
